I have managed to get an appointment to my hospital audio dept - last week.
This week an email said an appointment at 1.30pm - four days later.
I went with my daughter - an the result was - a new hearing aid for my left ear.
My right ear - I had an operation on it last September - I will have to wait for a
new mould for that ear to heal completely - until September - (I year to heal)
My old aids were good - This NHS one is even better. - two buttons - for the
up & down sound control. ( NHS - does not do syringing of ears - any more )
Private - £55 for one - or two ears.

Postscript - Managed to get a syringing appointment for this week - for £40.
I needed a WAX softener - available from a chemist - contains the word `EAR--`
on the box - £5-99 - (Cant advertise) - says inside box ( dont need syringing )
Box says - 3 days of softening - mine better hearing - after one day !
You cant wear a hearing aid for 3 days - now after the start of the 2nd day
much better hearing - for I can hear the TV - at my usual sound level.- and
that is only one ear - next appointment is for the my right ear - to have a new
mould made after September 4th - as the surgeon said - healed - in one year.

Now they tell me - after i have booked a syringing appointment.

After my last visit to he syringing clinic lady - she said " your wax is still there -
Come back next week - & I will try again - no extra charge - most `cures` state
7 to 10 days - but the box I chose - stated three days - on the outside & 7/10
days on the inside - of the box - What is the time - that people decide its time
to unblock their ears - mine have now been done for years - I can hear even now
better - but maybe 10 days - will not enough for Me - tomorrow I shall see ( or hear ) - Ha ! Ha!
